We already know exactly what Dodge has in store with the powerful Dodge Demon, that’s why Hennessy Performance just introduced their newest super muscle car, named “The Exorcist” as a response to the Dodge Demon. To compete the Dodge Demon , the upgraded Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 aka “The Exorcist” has incredible 1,000 HP, which makes it a real monster.
“The Exorcist” has the same V8 LT4 6.2-liter supercharged engine as the regular Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, but due to the reworked ECU, bigger intake system, longtube headers, aggressive camshaft, ported factory heads, upgraded intercooler and a larger supercharger, the Exorcist now has additional 350 HP and 316 lb-ft of torque. That’s total of 1,000 horse powers and 966 lb-ft of torque.
“The Exorcist” is rear wheel engine powered and the power is transmitted through the standard 6-speed manual or ten-speed auto transmission. The guys who made “the Exorcist” claim that this car will break the 3-second 0-60 mph mark with drag radials and sprint down the 1/4 mile in “less than ten seconds.”
The additional power will cost you around $55,000 on top of the starting price of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which is around $60,000. You can order also a Drag Pack for additional $8,995, which is consisted of a pair of 20-inch wheels wrapped with 315/30 Nitto drag radials, tool kit, floor jack and an upgraded drive shaft.
There is a Road Race pack also, which costs $6,995 and consists of 20-inch Hennessey wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
Only 100 units of the Exorcists are planned to be built per year, and they will be available through Chevrolet dealerships or directly through the Texas-based aftermarket specialists “Hennessey”. And what is best of all : The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 a.k.a. “Exorcist” has 24,000 mile / 2 year warranty, which mean you can still drive it semi-regularly.
