Audi has finally decided to give the R8 V10 Plus a convertible sibling, in the form of this Spyder edition. The Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder is, for all intents and purposes, the fastest convertible R8 Audi has ever built. The V10, lifted from its Coupe sibling, remains unchanged.
That means 602 horsepower and a whopping 413 lb-ft of torque. Because it’s naturally-aspirated, most of the power is up top. This means you have to grab it by the scruff of its neck and rev its nuts off. Don’t worry though, it’ll love you for it.
There are very few cars which can emit the same noise an R8 can. The Huracan springs to mind. Because it’s a convertible though, the experience is quadrupled if anything. The revlimiter is set at a rather high 8,700 rpm, so you’re in no danger of running out of revs any time soon.
The sprint to 62 mph takes 3.3 seconds and it will go on to a reported top speed of 204 mph. We presume that quick sprint time is down to its intelligent Quattro all-wheel drive system.
Oh, it also gets carbon ceramic brakes all-round to help it stop better. With over 600 horsepower though, we wouldn’t have expected anything different. Prices have yet to be announced, but if tradition has taught us anything, it’s that the Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder will be more expensive than its Coupe sibling.

How much more expensive? Well, it’s anyone’s guess really. We reckon it’ll cost $10-$15 more than the Coupe, driving the price up to $191k. Hefty.
